St Paul for All — Serve Day 2026

October 25 All day
Be the Body. Share Christ’s love through service.
All mission work will take place on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
Unless otherwise noted or communicated, all mission activities will begin immediately following the 11:00 a.m. worship service.
A sack lunch will be provided by the church and will be available for pickup in the Fellowship Hall for all missionaries serving that day. Most teams will gather to eat their sack lunches together before their work begins, either in the Fellowship Hall or at their work site.
Specific team instructions regarding where your group should gather, any additional items you might need to bring with you (such as work gloves), and any other site-specific details will be communicated to you by individual team captains before St. Paul for All Sunday.
Service Opportunities
Backpack Buddies [CLOSED]
“Food for Friday, Hope through Monday”
Volunteer capacity: Unlimited
Come learn about a new mission opportunity St. Paul hopes to become involved with beginning in January 2027.
Backpack Buddies provides backpacks filled with nutritious food and snacks for children who may have little or nothing to eat over the weekend. For many of these children, the free breakfast and lunch they receive at school may be the most dependable meals they have all week. These weekend backpacks help bridge the gap from Friday afternoon until Monday morning.
Signing up for this team is an opportunity to hear how the ministry works, learn more about the need in our community, and discover how St. Paul hopes to become involved. You may even decide this is a ministry you would like to be part of in the months ahead.
Come lunch, learn, and love—all at the same time!
Christy Odom Home Project [CLOSED]
“Hands & Hearts for Christy”
Volunteer capacity: 8 volunteers
Put your hands to work for a dear friend of our St. Paul family by helping with household and outdoor projects.
This will be a hands-on service team helping with a variety of manageable projects around Christy’s home, including light painting, staining repaired areas of her deck, light yard work and cleanup, spreading pine straw, and some light housekeeping inside.
You do not need to be a professional handyman or painter—just willing to work, serve, and help accomplish several small projects that will make a HUGE difference for a very special friend of our church.
College Connection [CLOSED]
“Away from Home, Close at Heart”
Volunteer capacity: Unlimited
Help us remind our St. Paul college students that they are loved, encouraged, and never far from their church family!
Volunteers will write personal notes of encouragement to our college students and assemble special care packages filled with treats, snacks, and thoughtful surprises to brighten their days.
All ages are welcome to help spread a little love from home!
Fellowship Hall Setup Team [CLOSED]
“Flip the Hall, Fuel the Mission”
Volunteer capacity: 15–20 volunteers
Before our St. Paul for All missionaries can head out to serve, they need to eat lunch. That means someone has to help get the Fellowship Hall set up with tables and chairs so they have a place to pick up their lunch and a place to eat it!
This team will meet in the Fellowship Hall at approximately 10:00 a.m., immediately following the 9:00 a.m. Contemporary Worship Service, to help transform the room from its worship setup into a welcoming space for our teams to gather and eat lunch, while also setting up an area for one of our note-writing service groups to meet as well.
In the span of about 30–40 minutes, this team will work together to move and arrange tables and chairs, reset the room, and make sure everything is ready for the couple hundred people who will soon be gathering there before heading out to serve.
This may be a short assignment, but it will be an invaluable part of helping St. Paul for All Day run smoothly and successfully.
And because this team finishes early, signing up here does not prevent you from signing up for another service opportunity later that day.
Come help us flip the hall, fuel the mission, and set the stage for a great day of service!
Grace House [CLOSED]
“Comfort & Grace”
Volunteer capacity: 8–10 volunteers
(a division of Safe House Ministries)
Help us bring a little extra comfort and encouragement to the women of Grace House.
This team will prepare special comfort bundles for women who are working toward recovery and a new beginning. Bundles will include items such as soft, fluffy towels and linens, flowers, a gift bag of lotions, lip balm, pens and a journal, a few sweet treats, and a handwritten encouraging note.
What a beautiful, yet simple way to remind each woman that she is seen, valued, and being prayed for. The completed bundles will be delivered to Grace House that day.
This is a wonderful opportunity for volunteers who enjoy putting together thoughtful gifts and creating something that will brighten someone else’s day.
Magnolia Manor [CLOSED]
“Blooms & Blessings”
Volunteer capacity: 15–20 adults, plus children of all ages
Help us create 40 small flower arrangements to brighten the rooms, and the days, of residents at Magnolia Manor.
These will be simple, cheerful arrangements, and absolutely no flower-arranging or craft experience is necessary. A member of St. Paul’s Altar Guild will help guide the team, so anyone can participate, and all materials will be provided.
This is a great opportunity for families and multiple generations to serve together. Once the arrangements are completed, a specially made gift tag will be attached, and they will be delivered to Magnolia Manor that Sunday afternoon.
Come arrange a few blooms and help share a lot of joy!
Military Encouragement
“Mail Call with Meaning”
Volunteer capacity: Unlimited
Don’t be intimidated…no long letters to write here!
Join this team for a simple yet meaningful way to encourage our service members and their families. Beautifully pre-printed cards, complete with an uplifting message and Scripture verse, are already prepared!
All we ask is that you jot down a sentence or two of personal encouragement, such as “Thank you for your service,” “We appreciate you,” or “You are in our prayers.”
That’s it! Just a few heartfelt words to remind our military members and their families that even people they’ve never met are thinking of them, are grateful for their sacrifices, and are lifting them up in prayer!
Operation Christmas Child Prep Team [CLOSED]
“Prepping the Joy!”
Volunteer capacity: 15–20 volunteers
Help us prepare for St. Paul’s Operation Christmas Child shoebox-packing event in November!
This team will sort, organize, and prepare the supplies already purchased for the upcoming shoebox-packing event. By counting, grouping, and arranging everything in advance, team members will play an invaluable role in helping our November packing day run more smoothly and efficiently.
This is a wonderful hands-on opportunity for volunteers who enjoy organizing, sorting, and working together toward a larger mission.
PAWS Humane [CLOSED]
“Paws for a Cause”
Volunteer capacity: 10–15 volunteers
God loves all creatures, great and small! When we asked PAWS Humane what would be the biggest blessing to their animals, their answer was simple: Give their dogs a day away from the stress of shelter life!
Take a furry friend for a walk at the Botanical Gardens (passes provided), for an ice cream at Bruster’s (gift cards provided), or to Starbucks for a pup cup! This mission is all about giving these sweet dogs a little freedom, fresh air, and some much-needed love and attention.
Come be a dog’s hero for a day and give one of God’s precious creatures a much-deserved break from kennel life!
Please note: Volunteers must be 18 years or older to participate unless accompanied by an adult.
SafeHouse Ministries
“Prepped with a Purpose”
Volunteer capacity: 15–18 volunteers
Freedom House, the men’s housing division of SafeHouse Ministries, is working to get its property freshened up for the holidays! As part of those preparations, they are getting the walls ready for a fresh coat of paint.
This team will help with light scraping and sanding, then roll on primer to get everything ready for a new coat of paint. All prep and painting is interior work.
You don’t have to be a perfect painter, just someone willing to lend a hand and help pave the way for the fresh new look Freedom House hopes to have this holiday season!
All materials will be provided.
Sack Lunch Prep Team [CLOSED]
“Lunches with Love”
Volunteer capacity: 15 volunteers
Here’s a chance to serve the people who will be heading out to serve others!
Unlike most of our St. Paul for All teams, this group will meet in the church kitchen at 10:00 a.m., immediately following the 9:00 a.m. Contemporary Worship Service.
We’ll form a fun and efficient assembly line to prepare, pack, and organize sack lunches so they’re ready for all of our St. Paul for All missionaries to pick up before heading out to their afternoon service projects.
No special skills are required, just willing hands and a servant’s heart.
Come help us fill a few tummies, encourage a few hearts, and send our missionaries out well fed and ready to share God’s love!
Sara Spano Clothing Bank
“Closets of Care”
Volunteer capacity: 15 volunteers
Help turn our St. Paul for All School Clothing Bank Drive into something ready to be placed directly into the hands of local children and families.
This team will sort and organize the new and gently used clothing collected by St. Paul, so that everything is neatly folded, sorted, and ready to be delivered to the Sara Spano Clothing Bank.
The donations will be delivered the following Tuesday, but this SP4A Sunday team will do the important work of getting everything ready to go.
The Fort Church
Fortify The Fort!
Volunteer capacity: 15–20 volunteers
Grab your work gloves and help us spruce up the outdoor spaces at The Fort Church in East Highland!
This team will focus on cleaning up and improving the church’s playground area, the grounds immediately surrounding the playground, and an adjacent lot that needs some attention. The work will consist primarily of light clearing, trimming, raking, weeding, cleanup, and hauling away debris.
This is not heavy land-clearing work. Volunteers may use items such as trimmers, clippers, rakes, gloves, and contractor bags to help knock out the project together.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys working outdoors and likes being able to see a big difference after just a few hours of work.
Faithful Lives, Lasting Legacy [CLOSED]
Volunteer capacity: 10 volunteers
Cemetery Care & Preservation at Mount Zion Church
Another meaningful opportunity to serve under the umbrella of Fortify the Fort is our “Faithful Lives, Lasting Legacy” mission team.
This team will help care for a small church cemetery located off Double Churches Road. While many of the gravesites are lovingly maintained by family members, there are a few areas that could use some extra attention and light grounds maintenance.
This is not an overwhelming project! No heavy lifting or overly strenuous work is involved. With a small group of willing volunteers, some work gloves, basic yard tools, and a weed eater or two, the areas needing attention should be tackled with ease.
What a wonderful way to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon outdoors, preserving a piece of our community’s history and honoring the saints who have gone before us! As you serve on this team in their memory, we invite you to make this simple act of love and remembrance a tribute to someone special in your own life as well.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses…” — Hebrews 12:1
Truth Springs Academy [CLOSED]
“Build a Bike, Bring a Smile”
Volunteer capacity: 12 volunteers
Do you remember when you got your first bicycle and how happy seeing that bike made you feel? Imagine the joy on a child’s face when they discover a brand-new bicycle waiting for them at Christmas, all because of you!
This team will assemble bicycles that will be donated to the Truth Springs Academy Christmas Shop. The Christmas Shop gives parents an opportunity to choose Christmas gifts for their children at little or no cost.
These are not complicated bicycles to put together, so you don’t have to be a professional bicycle mechanic! All you need is a willing heart—and maybe a screwdriver too! Volunteers will work together to assemble the bikes and help turn a box of parts into a beautiful Christmas morning surprise a child will always remember.
Wynnton Neighborhood Network [CLOSED]
“Pack with Purpose”
Volunteer capacity: 21–27 volunteers total
Looking for a simple, hands-on way to make a real difference for neighbors right here in our own community? This is it.
There will be two ways to serve with Wynnton Neighborhood Network:
Household & Personal-Care Packing Team — 15–20 volunteers [CLOSED]
Work side by side in a fun assembly-line setting to pack practical household and personal-care essentials for families served by Wynnton Neighborhood Network. Items such as laundry products, toilet paper, soap, and other everyday necessities may seem simple, but when a family is struggling, these basics can be a true blessing.
Pet Care Packing Team — 6–7 volunteers [CLOSED]
Help prepare pet-food and pet-care packages for WNN clients who may be struggling to provide for the pets they love. For many people, a pet is family, companionship, and comfort—and helping meet those needs is another beautiful way to care for our neighbors.
Both teams offer an easy, meaningful way to serve together, share a few laughs, and turn ordinary supplies into something much more: a practical reminder that our neighbors are seen, loved, and not alone.
