Important things are happening this week at St. Paul! Please read below to see if you are available to volunteer for SafeHouse THIS SATURDAY!

Volunteers (8 of them) are needed to help serve lunch to those at Rosehill/SafeHouse ministry on Saturday, October 2nd, starting at 11:30 a.m. Joe Morrow can answer your questions and his contact info is in your bulletin. To volunteer, you can call the church office!
If you can’t help in October, there will be opportunities at both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Stephanie Woods, our new Children’s Director, will start on October 1st but we’ve set aside the SS hour on October 17th for all to come meet her! Please see the schedule (adults at 10:00, youth and older elementary at 10:15 and early elementary/preschool at 10:30) in your bulletin.

If you haven’t sent in your “burning questions”, please do so ASAP. I always remember what my Daddy told me when I was a child – “there are no dumb questions. The only dumb one is the one you didn’t ask.”

Next Sunday, October 3rd will be a bit busy!
American Red Cross Blood Drive in the morning from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the youth building. You may register to give the gift of life by reaching out to either Ken Chung or Kathy Hollon.
Blessing of the Animals in the afternoon at 5:00 p.m., in the Quad! Please bring your furry (or feathered or scaly) family members to not only receive a blessing but also get their picture made for the “best in show” contest, where “best” can mean many different categories! Come join in the fun!

Important things to remember and mark your calendar!

Acolyte training continues on 26 and Oct. 3. From 4:30 -5:30 pm, in the Sanctuary, our third graders will learn how to carry the flame, how to serve communion and the importance of serving in the church. Please contact Grace Bailey at [email protected]

SPY Unity Night is 9/26 in the Youth Building.

Real Women’s Ministry returns on Thursday, September 23, with a trip to Shiloh to visit “Flowers from the Garden of Eva.” At the garden, we’ll put together our own floral arrangements (bring a container and $1 per stem) from flowers cut fresh from Eva’s field, enjoy refreshments and fellowship. We’ll leave promptly at 6:00 pm and travel in the St. Paul bus. Please let Grace Bailey know if you plan to attend.

Mark your calendars – children’s choirs for ages 5 years old – 1st grade and for ages 2nd to 5th grade have returned! Times are as follows – younger ones (Carol Choir) will go from 5:30 to 6:00, snack supper for the amazing price of $1 for both groups, and then the older children (Covenant Choir) will go from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wayne Martz will be happy to answer all of your questions! Both will meet in room M270 (also known as CWC).

Both the Blessing of the Animals and the Red Cross Blood Drive will be October 3rd.
